  3. Money Savin' Momma Says:

Sad to hear the $75 off won’t be back this week, but $65 off $100 is still a great deal! Woo hoo! See you all tomorrow night, good luck everyone!

  4. Jennifer Elton Says:

thank you! I posted this on my blog and linked here

  5. lorac_s Says:

What an awesome price! Can’t wait!!!

  6. SD'ers Says:

Sorry that I gave away all of our secrets on the m80. I did not realize that this is a bad thing. I just wanted to share everything that we @ Slickdeals have learned by working together. So, when everyone switches threads please be sure to PM me the details. If you are all angry I understand and will Search all of you to find you. I just didnt want anyone to feel left out and so many people here were bashing us, hopefully, they will see we are very generous, caring individuals.

    P.S. Its .net not .com

  7. SD'ers are clueless Says:

SD’ers are clueless when it comes to finding the coupons. After the coupons come out, they all cry about not getting any and blame it on everyone except themselves. You should see the SD chat rooms. There couldn’t be more chaos. Everyone uses the “scream” feature every minute just to make you mad!

There are a lot of great sites that help people find coupons in the FABULOUS Old Navy Weekly promotion. All of you SD’ers should try checking out some of the better websites such as http://www.engineeradebtfreelife.com/ !

  8. Tenaj Says:

It’s a shame that some folks here feel the need to bash others. Pot, kettle, black.

  9. Flavaflave Says:

That website listed above is crap. I started geting spam as soon as I signed up. Dont go there!

  10. shameful Says:

its shameful that all these blogs are using the fabulous promotion for their self interest and getting ad revenue. they are spoiling it for everyone by organizing mass cheating by their members that share the coupon locations with each other and all the good ones go quickly.

It would be so nice if everyone had to find the coupons themselves and not get the coupons they signed up in some chatroom where people are leaking information. its like in an exam, all cheater students copying answers from one person while a honest student doing it on its own and not scoring as much.

Money Savin’ Momma,, Jennifer, SDers, you should all feel ashamed for yourself by making this a great cheating promotion instead of based on any skills.

Oldnavy please find a way to stop this mass cheating. do something like random locations for each person so that they can’t share the coupon locations with others.

  11. Monkeyman Says:

Shameful it is not mass cheating. I would be willing to bet you are a part of one of these groups so get off your soap box and find something usefull to do. Old Navy is getting customers either way.

  12. paris Says:

OK shameful or should I say jealous.

At least these people in chat rooms aren’t hacking into the web site and selling the coupons on eBay. What would you call that?

  13. Toad224 Says:

    Good morning, all!

I hope you’re gearing up for a night of neglect, as you further alienate your spouses and children waiting for that precious $65! Six months and counting of Thursday nights you’ll never get back!

    Mmmmmm, my precious!!!

    Toodles,
    Toad224

  14. Ebay.... Says:

NOBODY LISTEN TO THIS “TOAD224″ HE IS FAKE BECAUSE I HAD ASKED HIM TO IDENTIFY ME SINCE I HAD CONTACTED HIM ON EBAY A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO AND HE TOTALLY GOT IT WRONG. SO DISREGAD THE ABOVE POSTING.

  15. blue-sea-11 Says:

    Good day, everyone!

I hope everyone had their coffee. It’s going to be a long night! The $65 off coupon is fabulous, but me & toad were hoping for a 69. Same people here week after week… Yada yada yada.

    I can’t wait!

    Toodles,
    blue-sea-11

  16. shameful Says:

Monkeyman , no i am not part of any group. yes i know they exist and can join if i approve of those but i DON’T. I am happy with whatever i can find myself. it may not be a best coupon everytime but its honestly earned.

paris : i am not jealous. its just a coupon and not my entire life. I don’t know of any person with confirmation who is hacking (and honestly i can’t even say what hacking would mean regard to this promotion. i would say its more like scripting/programming but whatever people want to call). if someone is hacking then they are also as wrong as people who are cheating.. i can’t compare who is worse but in my opinion both are spoiling this promotion.

  17. ThriftyCent Says:

    Good Luck to everyone tonight.

  18. SD'ers Says:

Fingerpointing.. Afternoon television…Whining…Who do we confide in? What do we do?

    I am we!

  21. Dave Says:

Toad224 is now moms-coupons on Ebay!. He changed his Ebay name at 12:20 EST!!!!!!!!

  22. CJ Says:

moms-coupons (aka toad224), blue-sea-11 (aka relationshipbuilder), and ash-tronics all disgust me. What disgusts me even more is seeing people defend them. I wouldn’t be surprised if ash-tronics changes his name too after all a majority of us hate their guts and know that they cheat to get the coupons. When the promotion is over, they’ll probably move on to stealing information or identities of ebay buyers that bought a coupon from them. terrible!

    -_-

  23. shameful Says:

i am very happy i got a $45 coupon last night. I think it was very easy to get and anyone who paid any attention the week before could easily get it. as soon as i clicked on the necklace and the hand mirror moved, i knew thats where i have to click to get the coupon (just like the tail light for last week).

this is my 4th coupon from this promotion so far without any help from any cheating chats/boards.

    Thanks Old Navy!!

  24. 2cents Says:

These people aren’t the same ones selling on flebay. Havent you all noticed that old navy is using things like bloggers, facebook, twitter, and text alerts as tools to hype this thing up. I think ebay is just another place old navy is using coupons to get customers. Think about it! The real sellers could in fact be old navy.

  25. AppleEye Says:

Congrats on your $45 Shameful. I have had countless coupons that I have both used and shared with my friends. The same friends I chat with and share locations. This is your 4th coupon? Big deal, I got 4 just this week! Maybe you should join a chat!

  26. shameful Says:

    AppleEye,

i am content with my 4 (yes only 4) coupons. I have no need to hoard 4 coupons in one week.

if you read my earlier comments, the chats and other boards that share coupon locations with people are equivalent to cheating (in my opinion) and i DO NOT APPROVE OF THAT.

you all cry foul about people who sell on ebay while you engage in the same thing yourself. in my opinion both are cheating and one is no worse than the other. In an ideal world when everyone finds their own coupons, the coupons should last 15-30 mins but because of all the chat/boards, they go in minutes.

and no i don’t measure myself with how many coupons i got. i do what i consider is right.

  27. AppleEye Says:

Blah, blah, and more blah. Who made you the ethics police? The chats are an excellent way for for this promotion to get even bigger. Each week the rooms have more and more people. I doubt Old Navy cares if we share locations. They want customers so they give coupons. If they cared how we got them then maybe you wouldn’t see so many on Ebay. Btw~ Im completely fine with the Ebay sellers. The people who buy from them dont mind so who am I to judge?

  28. Mandy1959 Says:

my son is 16 and pregnant. please someone give us a $75 for babay clothes. he goes to the chat but nobody will help. if we cant get one i dont know what well do. thank u

  29. Purplepee Says:

“Toad224 is now moms-coupons on Ebay!. He changed his Ebay name at 12:20 EST!!!!!!!!”
No it’s really Toad224’s Mom. Toad224 got in trouble. He is on restriction and cant use the computer for a week. His Mom is selling the coupons. Be nice to her she is just trying to make a living! Hahahaha!

  30. In-UR-Face Says:

Last night i got 7 65/100. I don’t care what anybody says. i didnt need any help from any websites. I was trying to be nice on SD at one time. So what if i was pregnet boy. STop complaining you cant get this or that! So what if i am a lurker on SD! Sd people are just to mean.

  31. Sd'er Says:

You guys keep crying its not fair or your sick of cheaters. Old Navy can end this at any time. They dont owe you anything!!! You should just be glad they have offered these coupons. If your really that broke maybe you should think about the thrift store for your clothing. Toad is right, you people are sad!

  32. Whatever Says:

I think it is really sad that someone comes along and takes mass majority of what are supposed to be free coupons and then turns around and sells them for like $20.00 bucks on EBAY! The whole point of these stupid coupons is so people who really need them can use them and so old navy keeps business! Why the hell would some one turn around and pay for one of these coupons? That’s not any type of savings at all. Who cares about whether it is fair or not! The whole point is whether people have some sob story or not, it is helpful to save money! By people turning around hogging most of the coupons, it’s not doing anybody any good other than the people making profit off those coupons. I think it is crap and hopefully people will get the sense not to buy them, they are free on the website! If people quit buying it puts these so called hackers out of business. Let them hang up to dry they deserve it!!!

  33. Everyone has own opinion.... Says:

Well SD’er, everyone has the right to their opinion and are just stating it. Please don’t discourage anyone from expression their likes or dislikes. After all . . . even you are doing the same thing.

  34. Go Away Says:

Sd’er or SD’ers, stop trying to put people down. Do us all a favor and go away along with your buddies toad224, ash-tronics, and blue-sea-11!

  35. Dave Says:

Anyone notice that Toad224(moms-coupons on ebay now) hasn’t sold ANY coupons since Thursday’s drop? I wonder if the “good hacker” who posted here a few days ago actually stopped him from getting the coupons. He sounded serious. Furthermore, I am beginning to believe that “toad” is actually a woman. As well as ash-tronics and blue-sea-11. Not all hackers are men, you know!

  36. Gen Says:

I have been in contact with Old Navy, and they are working with Ebay to stop coupon-reselling. Awesome.

  37. Sentori Says:

Yeah, I don’t buy anything on ebay anymore because I think you can get it cheaper on e-junkie

  38. Dave Says:

Now I see where all of the 65 of 100 coupons went. Blue-sea-11 is selling tons of them. These ebayers get away with this because they aren’t technically selling coupons. They are selling the time it took to get the coupons. There is nothing Ebay or Old Navy can or will ever do about it. As long as online stores offer coupon promotions, the scalpers will find a way to get them first. The general public as a last resort will go to ebay and will buy them. It’s been this way ever since ebay started.

  39. Dave Says:

What I don’t understand is how, when most people couldn’t figure out what to click to get even one coupon, these ebayers got a ton of them. They have to have some kind of system for getting the good coupons. I feel lucky when I can get even one, which is about once every six weeks.

  40. Everyone has own opinion.... Says:

Hacker is there any way we can stop them. I had emailed Ebay and they said they would look into Toads account. Maybe thats why it got deleted. But the problem is that there are others as well that are selling them.

  41. JC Says:

Since toad224 and the rest of his gang can use or make other accounts on Ebay, the only way to stop them from hoarding so many coupons and selling them on Ebay is if Old Navy work with Ebay to stop everyone from selling their coupons on Ebay. This will stop a lot of people who don’t need a coupon from getting multiples since they can’t sell them. Then most of the people that really need the coupons will be able to get them. This will make a lot of people happy and like Old Navy.

  42. JC Says:

The whole point of having this promotion is so people that need a coupon can get one off the site and save $$$ from the store, not to grab multiples and sell them on Ebay for a profit.

Old Navy, please stop the greedy monsters who don’t shop at your store from getting multiples and selling them on Ebay.

  43. Gen Says:

JC, Old Navy IS addressing this problem, and is working with Ebay to stop this. I emailed them about it and I was really relieved to hear that they are working on it.

  44. JC Says:

Gen, I’ve heard people here say that Old Navy told them that they are working with Ebay to stop this a while back but I still see the coupons on Ebay and see that Old Navy hasn’t taken any action. So are they really addressing the issue this time or are they just telling people what they want to hear? Seriously, Old Navy should have worked with Ebay since the beginning when a lot of people have complained about the hackers such as toad224 hoarding a majority of the good coupons and selling them on Ebay. Why take action so late?

Gen, do you mind posting up the email you got from Old Navy saying they are addressing the issue? I want to see if other people that have complained got the same message as you.

  45. i hear you Says:

hacker: while i would like to believe you, knowing a bit of programming myself, i dont think what you posted about javascript code is completely correct. Assuming it is, even then you need to know which link to click to get the high value coupon. the page will probably have 100s of links.

and even if you do get to see the links, opening them in second computer would require you to somehow copy links from one to another. so that will take time..

in all, i have a hard time believing your claims.. sorry it may be my ignorance of latest hacking techniques but still i dont believe.

and about stopping sellers on ebay. i am not sure if stopping one or two sellers on ebay is the solution. in the initial days of the promotion, there used to be 10-15 different people selling the coupons (and multiples too – then even moms could get 6-10 coupons on their own). over time the game become tough and many of the sellers are beat by few who gets multiples. there are still couple of other sellers who sell 2-3 every week and more lower value coupons. if the toads of the world dont play to get coupons, these next tier sellers will get coupons and sell. you see its not that there is only one or two people who wants to sell.. there are 1000s of them. its the question of who is able to get the coupons.

this week looks like toad was not able to get as many (if any). probably because the loophole he was using was fixed or other sellers beat him this time.

So in all its not an easy thing to fix. old navy can certainly keep improving the security of their site and reduce the selling but it would be very hard to stop it entirely. you will either see 2-3 people selling a lot or 20-25 people each selling 5-6.

lastly ebay is not the only place to sell. there is craigslist and also e-junkie.com . a quick search shows old navy coupons there as well. there are perpetual coupons for staples, office max and other store coupons on e-junkie.com and that has been going for years now.

  46. Jesse Says:

Yeah, there is Craigslist and E-junkie but Ebay is more well-known. More people are likely to sell and buy on Ebay because the transactions there are more secure and you know the sellers’ and buyers’ reputation by looking at their feedbacks. Also, they have many features that makes it easy for Ebayers to buy and sell there.

People are unlikely to buy or sell coupons on Craigslist because you don’t know if the person that is selling or buying the coupon is honest or not. You are taking a risk by buying a coupon there. Their transactions are not secure as it is on Ebay.

I’ve never heard of e-junkie until you mentioned it. I just visited the site and I only see a couple of 65s posted up and the sellers say they only email the coupons. Old Navy can easily take down the coupons there simply by contacting E-junkie. In their terms of service, they state that “19.5 Degrees is not involved in any transaction between You and Your buyer or seller or other third parties with whom you may have transactions through Your Web site or between You and any user of any products or services offered or provided by You or by a third party through E-junkie.com.” So basically whenever a problem arises between the seller and buyer, they have to work it out with each other, e-junkie is not responsible for whatever happens between them. Also, they don’t have feedback ratings for the sellers and buyers so you don’t know if they can be trusted or not.

I know that you can get staple, office max, and many other office supply store coupons online for free but the coupons make you spend a lot like $75 in order to get like $10 off. Sometimes you get it in the mail or email if you sign up with their newsletters or special promotions. It’s not like these people that got these coupons hacked into a website to get it.

Old Navy is different, they are a clothing store and they spent lots of money on this promotion so that their customers can get a coupon from their OldNavyWeekly site and use it in their store and save $$$. Their purpose is not to have people like toad get multiples and profit from them but to help families that need them in this bad economy and to keep their stores open.

I do believe that the coupons toad and the rest of his gang are selling on Ebay are ill-gotten. The high valued coupons are gone like in a couple minutes every week. There is no way they can get so many coupons under these couple of minutes without some kind of script/program. I don’t care what it takes to stop them. If it means having to stop the sellings of Old Navy coupons completely on Ebay, then so be it.

  47. i hear you Says:

Jesse: you are right e-junkie is not involved in the transaction and its just a venue for putting up an ad. Many people don’t realize this but same is true for ebay too (except they have feedback ratings).

the buyers and sellers are protected by paypal (and not so much by ebay). So in that sense buying on e-junkie.com with paypal is *almost* as secure as buying on ebay (almost because there are no feedbacks). but overtime i am sure people who buy on e-junkie figured out that the sellers are selling good coupons just because that reason. I have bought office store coupons from e-junkie.com and never had issues. Will buy ON there as well if i need it.

and as for hacking vs not.. its pretty clear these people are using some tricks. what you want to call them doesn’t matter but yeah its impossible that its one person doing fast clicks and getting these many coupons.

BTW, the office store coupons that are sold there are very much generated by scripting (otherwise i cannot imagine a same sellers selling 100s of them on perpetual basis).

Hacker: well good luck in using your method. let us know how it goes this week. for sure there would be no time to use the macro programs or anything in the time since you have to record the macro only after the new site is up. but looks like you should be able to get couple of coupons if you are able to see the coupon locations instantly.

you may be right about toad.. quali-tech (and iqualitech’s) listings have some similarity with toad’s listings. so he may be the same person.

BTW, when you say reveal the coupon location, what do you mean. i mean sometime you have to move one object from one place to another so how does it reveal the location. will it just highlight the destination point in which case its helpful but not too much because you have to figure out what to drop there. sometimes its timer based so what will your script do in that case? just curious..

also best way to get old navy’s notice is to post the script line publicly that will force them to fix some of these issues. but of course its your call.

  48. Can be easily Solv Says:

I’m telling you..someone needs to write old navy and tell them to put names on the coupons. Such as for use with the “SMITH household”. The cashiers can use their discretion on whether or not to check ID but it will stop people from buying them on EBAY if there is a doubt about being able to use it. And it’s not hard, as I have printed out MFR coupons that has my name on it after I complete a survey for shopping at grocery stores. I mean, come on, OLD NAVY!

  49. sheesh Says:

will you all stop tell people how to cheat!

  50. cooper Says:

Maybe because it seems the only way to get the best coupon is to cheat.

  51. Everyone has own opinion.... Says:

HACKER…. Since you know all the “technical” aspects of how these other hackers are cheating, maybe you can call Old Navy for us and explain it to them. We would all appreciate it I am sure.

  52. Sentori Says:

You guys are crazy if you think ebay is going to do anything about these ebayers. There are two listings on ejunkie that are cheaper than the listings on ebay. These sellers would PREFER to sell on ejunkie because its cheaper.

Listen. This is not an ebay issue.. There are other places to sell coupons.. I’ll be honest.. i’d rather them sell on ejunkie since I get a cheaper price when I buy. Yeah I know.. buying is supporting them, but its okay since I don’t have to wait around all night.

  53. Jule Says:

Can be easily Solv, good idea but in order for this to work, they have put our names into the system as well, otherwise people can photoshop the names. Also, they have to make the cashiers check our ids to see if our name matches with the one in the system and on the coupon, otherwise the idea of putting our name on the coupon is useless. A downside is that you can’t share the coupons with other people unless they have the same name as you or the name that you typed in.

But then it will stop a lot of people from getting multiples unless they want to buy a lot stuff at Old Navy. But at least this will make people buy stuff at Old Navy instead of selling them on Ebay.

So there’s no point for people who aren’t planning to shop at Old Navy to get coupons off the OldNavyWeekly site unless they are getting them for their friends and family who plan to shop at Old Navy. But this is good because Old Navy wants more customers into their stores. So, overall, making us put our names on the coupons is a good idea if they put our names into the system and have the cashiers check our id to see if it matches with the one on the coupon and in the system.

We should write to Old Navy and suggest this idea to them.

  54. Oh Lord Says:

Sentori, why do you think more coupons are being sold and bought on Ebay than on e-junkie where they are only like a couple of coupons being listed?

That’s because Ebay is more popular and well-known and they have more features that makes it easy for people to buy and sell there. So what if on e-junkie they are a couple of dollars cheaper. They don’t have a lot of features that Ebay has. Also, whether it’s cheaper or not depends on how much the seller charges for the coupons. I prefer to shop at Ebay because it’s more convenient, the experiences I had with them are pleasant, and they have much more features to work with, such as being able to watch items, see when the auction ends, and feedback ratings. That’s why there are more sellers and buyers there. Ebay is the main place where people buy and sell Old Navy coupons. That’s why Old Navy need to stop hackers like toad and blue-sea-11 from selling coupons there. They can stop sellers from selling their coupons on e-junkie too.

Since they haven’t come up with a better plan that prevents the hackers from getting so much of their coupons, they should stop everyone from selling coupons on Ebay.

By the way, relationshipbuilder (aka blue-sea-11) from ebay is selling Old Navy coupons on e-junkie now. When I checkout the Old Navy coupon there, I saw his name. He probably heard you guys talk about e-junkie here so he is trying it out himself.

  55. SD'ers Says:

Can be easily Solve…I agree w/you to a point..I have visited several coupon sites for grocery store coupons that make you print immediately and limits your printer to TWO coupons. No e-mailing to friends or saving 100’s for yourself to sell on e-bay later… If this type of program were used it would take time to print the coupon therefore other individuals would have a greater amount of time to search. Sure there are people w/access to multiple printers however, IMO this would end some of the chaos that is involved with this promotion.

  56. what in the... Says:

blue-sea-11 is moms-coupons aka toad. when you look at moms-coupons feedback, you see a few negs left by a buyer and when you click on the buyer’s feedback, you see that in fact blue-sea-11 left the feedback to the buyer, not moms-coupons. what in the world is going on! check it out! i think toad is pretty much doing most of these auctions under different names on ebay. blue-sea-11 and moms-coupons are both toad!!!

  57. look closely Says:

what in the: you may be right but most likely not. look closely.. the buyer bought coupons from both moms-coupons and blue-sea-11. and left negative to both. probably the buyer is dishonest and lying but whatever.
moms-coupons did not write negative for the buyer but blue-sea did. if you see down in the list you will see moms-coupons feedback as well but its just says the standard line he is using.. blue-sea seems to have written a negative comment as a followup to the feedback..

so not sure if what you are saying is correct but who knows..

  58. outsourcing Says:

    outsourcing…

    cool stuff dude!…

  59. an unpopular solution Says:

What we need to stop these idiots is for several non-ebay users to sacrifice themselves by buying up these coupons and then not paying for them, after the time period to use them runs out. I think the fact that the coupons were ill gotten will go a long way with eBay in solving a payment dispute. Old Navy may even be willing to get on board by giving the ones who sacrifice their eBay accounts a free coupon. Someone should contact Old Navy to discuss this.

  60. Communication Skills Says:

Old Navy is different, they are a clothing store and they spent lots of money on this promotion so that their customers can get a coupon from their OldNavyWeekly site and use it in their store and save $$$. Their purpose is not to have people like toad get multiples and profit from them but to help families that need them in this bad economy and to keep their stores open.

  61. mission wall sconces Says:
