One week after Team Detroit launched the Mustang Customizer on the2010mustang.com, over 16,000 custom Mustangs had been saved to the gallery even though Ford hadn’t spent a dime of advertising money on it yet. All it took was a single mention of it on a Mustang forum the first day. By the end of the week, 30 unique sites and forums had picked up the news and were posting their own creations. Not to mention, the countless other sites that were simply re-posting others’ stories about it.
So why is it so popular? For one, nobody’s done anything like it before. At any point, four people can be working together and chatting to create a custom ride in the community mode. And that’s just in one room. As more people come to the site, more rooms are created to accommodate them. But if you’d prefer create on your own there’s also a single mode to create your personal dream Mustang. And it really will be all yours due to the seemingly endless customization possibilities. With 18 categories – including varying degrees of burnout smoke – there’s a good chance your Mustang isn’t going to look anything like the next person’s.

Thanks for the information. Ford cars are simply suoerb. I am very excited for 2010 Ford Mustang. It is a very well designed car. This car is available in two body styles-coupe as well as convertible. People will be amazed by looking at the exteriors and interiors. The technical features are amazing. Engine is the main part of any car, and its nice to see that this car too has powerful engines. Sync system is the best feature. Performance-wise, this car is very good. Ford have launched an interesting new web service that lets you personalise your own Mustang, within the realms of a virtual game of sorts. The website allows you to fully customise your car, with an in depth set of options that you can then export and use as your own desktop wallpaper.

Very cool. I love websites that can do this sort of thing. More companies would be wise to allow consumers the opportunity to customize their products before purchase. Power to the People!

I have seen the similar features while playing NFS Carbon. But customizing every part of the vehicle is a deal in itself. I am too eager to try it at once..

But I feel that, you dont have much features for customization in the NFS. If you are so keen then there are a lot of tools that are free on net for this.

I am a real fan of this car. After seeing the Ford Mustang in an auto show I have fallen for it. However the cost is quite high and I think, I wont be able to afford it.
