To prove how everyday people can achieve extraordinary things, Toshiba decided to bring their laptops to a couple places that needed some excitement for their latest campaign: Boring, Oregon and Normal, Illinois. The Boring vs. Normal campaign from Toshiba, tracks a cast of characters to do everything from start an online business to record music, and lets users vote on which town is more interesting.
Starting today, Monday, July 27, 2009 you can follow the competition and cast your vote at BoringvsNormal.com. Watch as a bit of friendly competition emerges between two seemingly regular towns as they compete to go from “Boring” or “Normal” to exciting.
In connection to the competition, Toshiba has released several videos which gives a playful homage to what we normally find boring and normal.

Blind Man Drives Ford Mustang (2010 Mustang Unleashed)
With the warm Arizona wind pelting his forehead and his entire body vibrating from the mighty roar of the engine, Roger Keeney takes a brand new 2010 Ford Mustang convertible on an amazing ride, doing donuts on the pavement and amassing speeds of up to 90 mph. Its a remarkable experience for a man who has been blind for the past 20 years. The sixty-two-year-old Keeney won the chance to drive the new 2010 Mustang by participating in The ‘10 Unleashed promotion, which asks people to describe their ultimate Mustang dream experience in 250 words or less.
